Beaches

Portrush West Strand

This spectacular beach is near Portrush and has several miles of supurb clean sand and dunes. The area has excellent waves popular for bodyboarding and surfing.

Portrush East Strand

East Strand, also known as Curran Strand, forms a 3km long continuous stretch of golden sand connecting Portrush and Whiterocks.

White Rocks Beach

This spectacular beach is near Portrush and has several miles of supurb clean sand and dunes. The area has excellent waves popular for bodyboarding and surfing.

Attractions

Giant's Causeway

The majestic cliffs and breathtaking landscape of the causeway and inaccessible bays combine with myth and folklore to inspire. The Giant’s Causeway is open for walking all year from dawn till dusk. The National Trust Visitor’s centre has a shop and tea-room.

Dunluce Castle

Dunluce Castle is one of the most identified landmarks on the Causeway coastline. Dating back to the 16th Century, the castle is a romantic ruin, perched on a dramatic cliff top.

Bushmills Distillery

Making whiskey since 1608, the Bushmills Distillery is the worlds oldest licenced distillery. You can visit the distillery and learn how whiskey’s are made and sample their different tastes.

Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge

Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge is not a trip for the faint hearted with an 80 foot downward view of sand, sea and surf. As the waves roar below, the breeze surrounds you with a feeling of flight. Not to mention the astounding view of the surrounding coastline.

Golf Courses

Royal Portush

Royal Portrush Golf Course is about 9 miles from the cottages, offering two separtate 18 hole courses of veriying difficulty and was the venue for the first professional tournament in Ireland in 1895. 

Ballycastle Golf Course

Ballycastle Golf Club offers a full 18 hole, part links, part parkland, championship course open to both members and non-members all year round

Bushfoot Golf Course

Bushfoot Golf Club is a local club near the cottages and allows for spectacular views of Blackrock strand and the Giants Causeway area.
