Rockdene Beach House comes equipped with everything you need for a fantastic trip away, with a great range of facilities and instant access to the seafront and various local attractions. With Wi-Fi as standard, Smart TVs in every living and sleeping space, a games room, outdoor cabin, outdoor kitchen, hot tub and much more, we really have thought of everything, to make your stay perfect.
Additional features to note:
- Parking includes two spaces – along with free on-street parking nearby.
- Fully enclosed garden.
- Reading area with two wingback chairs.
- Kitchen patio doors opening onto a front porch and glass-enclosed decking area.
Shower room/beach changing area
This separate shower room allows our guests to get washed and changed before entering the main house after a dip in the ocean or having enjoyed some relaxation in the hot tub. Fitted with a state-of-the-art Milano Tahuata outdoor thermostatic shower tower, you can also refresh yourself and cool off during hot summer days.
The shower includes four small and one large massaging body jet features, along with a hand-shower attachment and a rainfall head with water-blade function, so you can enjoy the ultimate luxurious showering experience. The entire shower room is tiled in dove-grey, complementing the interior décor of the house, while the shower itself is made from premium-quality stainless steel.
Outside Decking
Rockdene comprises an array of outdoor decking areas each with sea views, complete with seating, dining table, Weber BBQ. The front decking offers an outside sofa space, enclosed by glass panels. Each decking area also has gas heaters, so guests can enjoy cooler periods outside while still keeping cosy.
Living Room
Designed to be a cosy and relaxing space, the living room has wonderful sea views, which can be enjoyed through a six-panel bay window in the comfort of one of our Ashwood Design Marmaduke Swivel chairs. The lounge area also includes a variety of reclining chairs, along with a sofa from Otford Furnishings, where you can relax and unwind in front of the 55’’ Smart TV, which comes complete with Sky and Netflix.
Meanwhile, a wood-burning stove is perfect for keeping the cold at bay on chillier autumn and winter evenings, complemented by the oil-fired central heating throughout the beach house.
Kitchen/diner
With double patio doors opening out onto the glass-enclosed front decking area and enclosed veranda, the kitchen/diner has wonderful sea views and is decorated in a calming coastal blue and grey palette. Specially designed by top Northern Irish kitchen manufacturer, James Ford, the kitchen is state-of-the-art in every way, with beautiful high ceilings adding further spaciousness to the room.
The floor is tiled throughout, while tall kitchen units alongside the standard cupboards ensure there is lots of storage space. Meanwhile, guests can enjoy their morning brew from our Nespresso coffee machine, with instant hot water also available from a top-of-the-range Quooker tap. Fitted with all the mod cons, there is also a 43’’ TV (with Sky and Netflix), along with an Indus rustic oak dining table for enjoying family meals.
With subtle lighting and lots of natural light from the patio doors, the kitchen/diner is a relaxing space that has everything you think you need – and more.
Coastal Cabin
After sampling the delights of the North Coast relax and unwind in our peaceful and cosy luxury Coastal Cabin away from the main property whilst listening to sounds of the East Strand waves. Fully equipped with 55’’ Smart Television including Sky and outdoor heaters and lighting our cabin has been expertly designed to be a must in all seasons- warm and snug in the winter and to provide shade in the summer. Our Coastal Cabin is a perfect complement located next to our outdoor kitchen, bbq and pizza oven area.
Outdoor Kitchen, BBQ and Pizza Oven Area
Our stylish Elfin Outdoor Kitchen is durable, easy to use, designed and crafted to an impeccable standard. Free-standing outdoor fridge with freezer compartment, induction hob and stainless-steel built-in sink, it is the perfect partner for outdoor entertaining in those long summer evenings. Bring the indoors outdoors creating a relaxing space for guests to entertain, cook and dine together.
Discover the best of all worlds with our Weber gas barbecue, this BBQ is a mark of quality and class, quick and easy to use. Whether you’re savouring the sounds of a sizzling steak or relishing the rich aromas of roasting ribs while enjoying our beautiful vistas.
Or if you prefer something a little bit different why not try our Ooni Koda 16” gas powered pizza oven. Switch on the instant gas ignition, and you’ll be ready to cook in 20 minutes – the blazing heat needed for cooking stone-baked, perfect pizzas in 60 seconds leaving ample time to make use of our extensive facilities.
Utility store and kitchen appliances
The separate tiled utility area includes a washing machine and tumble dryer for our guests’ convenience, with an ironing board also provided. This is a compact space which complements the main kitchen/diner area, which itself is fitted with a range of appliances for our guests’ use.

Games room
The Rockdene games room includes a dart board, with a small gas stove also located just underneath, and stools and a Jameson barrel table perfect for holding drinks and snacks. There is also a pool table and table-tennis table, along with a drinks fridge and music system, for our guests’ convenience. This room is tiled and looks out onto the back decking area, as well as having views of the Arcadia and East Strand Beach.
Bathrooms and toilets
The main upstairs bathroom of the beach house is fitted with a top-of-the-range thermostatic shower, along with a luxury Neptune shower pod. Designed to remove the risk of leaks, the shower pod is also extremely hygienic and anti-microbial, so it will not stain and there’s no risk of fungi or mould developing.
Meanwhile, a Bluetooth mirror with multi-functional contactless sensor controls the bathroom lighting, which can be changed from a cool setting to a warmer, brighter tone as preferred. It also has a handy memory function, so guests can enjoy the same ambient lighting throughout their stay.
A wall-hung vanity unit with double drawers provides plenty of bathroom storage space, while the toilet is easy-flush, as standard. There is also a shower, free-standing bath, toilet and sink.
All of the Rockdene bathrooms are contemporary and fitted with modern fixtures and furniture for our guests’ convenience, with grey and white décor throughout. They are also fully tiled and fitted with Bluetooth.

Seafront Garden
At the front of the property accessed via a few steps you’ll find a fully enclosed emerald lawn area perfectly safe for children to play whilst you relax with a glass or two of something chilled or for your four-legged companions. This area gets lots of sunshine in the summer and it’s a great spot for lounging on lazy days. It’s not difficult to imagine this majestic house being the summer home for families, where summer soirees and boat trips were the norm.
Rockdene Honesty Bar
Our honesty bar is available for all guests of Rockdene and is the perfect place for a relaxing drink during your stay. With a range of Beers, Ciders, Spirits, and Soft drinks, you can sit back and enjoy a tipple with stunning sea views. More information can be found in the property on arrival.
